As of the 1st October 2011, Kirklees council have been charging residents for garden waste collections to achieve savings and to ensure people who don’t use the service don’t end up paying for it through their council tax contributions.

Kirklees council has set a minimum collection charge of £5 per visit for up to five bags of garden waste plus £1 per bag over this up to a maximum of 15 bags. Payments have to be made in advance.

Trying to estimate the number of bags of garden waste you have can be difficult, especially if your garden is overgrown.  DC Waste Management don’t have a limit on the amount of garden waste that we collect from your property, we even provide a chipping service where any garden wood waste that you have will be chipped. You can then decide whether you want to keep it for use in your own garden or whether you would like us to take it for you.  Give us a call on 0800 023 5797 or 07870 459 737 or request a call back via the form on our contact us page for an obligation free quote!
